The "End of Heat" is a Chinese solar term, one of the 24 divisions of the year. It happens from August 22 to September 6 this year. During this time, China is moving from hot summer to cooler autumn.

“处暑”是中国的一个节气，是一年中24个节气之一。它发生在今年8月22日至9月6日。在这段时间里，中国正从炎热的夏天走向凉爽的秋天。

Here are six things to know about the "End of Heat":以下是关于“处暑”你需要了解的六件事：

1. Fall Colors

In early September, regions beyond the Great Wall start to see autumn colors as summer changes to fall.

秋天的颜色

在九月初，随着夏天变为秋天，长城以外的地区开始看到秋天的颜色。

2. Feeling Tired

As the weather cools down, people might feel more tired. This is called "autumn weariness." It's a sign that our bodies need rest after a hot summer. To feel better, g et enough sleep, exercise, and keep plants indoors.

随着天气变冷，人们可能会感到更累。这被称为“秋乏”。这是我们的身体在炎热的夏天之后需要休息的迹象。为了感觉更好，要有充足的睡眠，锻炼身体，把植物放在室内。

3. Cloud Watching

With the end of summer, the sky becomes less hazy. People enjoy looking at the different shapes of clouds.

4. Night-Blooming Cereus

This mysterious flower blooms during the "End of Heat." It likes the warm days and cool nights of this time. It's similar to desert climates. The flower opens at night to avoid the hot sun.

这种神秘的花在“处暑”开花。它喜欢这个时候温暖的白天和凉爽的夜晚。它类似于沙漠气候。昙花在晚上开放以避开烈日。

5. Eating Duck

Ducks have a cool nature according to Chinese medicine. People eat duck dishes like roast duck during the "End of Heat" because they're tasty and help cool down.

6. Fishing Season Festival

In places along the East China Sea, fishermen have a festival called the Fishing Season Festival. It happens when they can start fishing again after a ban. The warm sea helps fish grow, and people enjoy seafood during this time.

在东海沿岸的一些地方，渔民们有一个节日，叫做捕鱼节。当他们可以在禁鱼禁令后重新开始捕鱼时，就会庆祝。温暖的大海有助于鱼类生长，人们在这段时间里喜欢海鲜。
